摘要
词汇学习是英语学习的中心任务。相对于新课程标准对高中英语词汇教学的要求而言,目前的英语词汇教学存在对词汇教学不够重视、对词语的释义过于片面、讲解词汇时忽视语境理论、对词汇运用不够重视等诸多问题。语境理论的提出及在词汇教学中的应用可以对此予以妥善地解决。英语教师应认真研究语境理论并将其运用在词汇教学中,在具体语境中帮助学生理解词汇,记忆词汇,运用词汇,真正提高学生的英语语言综合运用能力。
Vocabulary learning is the central task of English study. Compared to the requirement of the New Curriculum Standard, several problems lies in present English vocabulary teaching such as paying less attention, limited explanation of the meaning, neglecting of the context theory, less focus on the application etc. On the contrary, the context-based vocabulary teaching can well address this problem. Therefore, English teachers may put it into practice to help the students learn vocabulary more easily and efficiently.
