On the Skillful Use of Story Teaching Method to Improve the Quality of English Teaching in Junior Middle School

摘要 随着新课程改革的深入,教学理念与教学方式不断创新,在教学中更加突出学生的主体地位,也更重视教学方法的多样性,来真正提升课堂教学的效率。就初中英语教学而言,在新课改下,对教师的教学要求不断提高,不仅重视对学生英语听、说、读、写能力的培养,也重视学生综合素质的养成。在英语教学中,故事教学法是常见的方式之一,也是最受学生喜爱的方式。采用故事教学法,能够吸引学生的注意力,活跃课堂学习的氛围,进而来激发学生英语学习的兴趣。本文简要阐述了故事教学法的概念与有关原则,分析故事教学法应用的意义,并进一步对故事教学法的应用提出自身的看法,希望有助于提高初中英语课堂的教学质量。 With the deepening of the new curriculum reform,teaching concepts and teaching methods continue to innovate,giving more prominence to students’principal position in teaching,and paying more attention to the diversity of teaching methods,in order to truly improve the efficiency of classroom teaching.As far as junior middle school English teaching is concerned,under the new curriculum reform,the teaching requirements for teachers are constantly improving.It not only pays attention to the cultivation of students’English listening,speaking,reading and writing abilities,but also pays attention to the cultivation of students’comprehensive qualities.In English teaching,story teaching method is one of the common ways,and it is also the most popular way for students.The use of story teaching method can attract students’attention,activate the atmosphere of classroom learning,and then stimulate students’interest in English learning.This paper briefly expounds the concept and related principles of story teaching method,analyses the significance of the application of story teaching method,and further puts forward its own views on the application of story teaching method,hoping to help improve the teaching quality of junior high school English classroom.
