On English Vocabulary Learning from the Perspective of Hagel's Organic Theory

本文尝试以黑格尔的有机论为例,考察哲学作为一种方法论对于英语词汇教学所可能具有的启发作用。黑格尔的有机论可以帮助我们摆脱传统机械论的掣肘,将整个词汇看成一个生成的、有联系的和运动中的有机体,从而在英语词汇的教学实践中引入一些新颖的可行性教学与学习策略。

This paper attempts to take Hagel's organic theory as an example, to examine the role of philosophy as a methodo-logy for the teaching of English vocabulary. Hegel's organic theory can help us get rid of the traditional mechanical theory of constraints, the whole vocabulary as a generation, connection, and the movement of the organism, the order to introduce some novel feasible teaching and learning strategies in English vocabulary teaching practice.
