The implementation of the role exchange between teacher and students in the theory teaching of medicinal chemistry, makes students participate in the entire process of teaching: independent learning and exploring in the process of preparing lessons; showing their talent and ability in the process of teaching. Results show that the key to ensure high efficient running of the teaching mode is the teacher's guidance to students during the preparing lessons: one is the instruction of the students' learning methods and ways of thinking; the second is the timely evaluation for the learning effect and quality of the student.Students can acquire all-round development in the running of this teaching mode, not only gain knowledge and methods, but also improve the ability and quality.
