摘要
本文在语言学标记理论的框架下探究英语职业称谓性别歧视语在形式标记、分布标记和语义标记这三个方面的特点,挖掘此类性别歧视语的成因,并提供针对当前职业性别歧视语的应对之策,同时呼吁在职业教育和职场培训中应注意正确使用职业称谓语,以达成友好和谐的职场交际。
Under the framework of markedness theory in linguistics, this paper investigates the sexism in English occupation titles from formal marking, distributional marking, and semantic marking. Besides, the paper analyzes the cause of this phenomenon and offers proper solutions to this kind of sexist language. Finally, appeals for correctly using occupation titles are made so as to achieve a harmonious communication.
