摘要
本研究借助语料库的检索分析软件,以大学英语学习者语料库(COLEC)中134篇四级同题作文为语料,调查了这些作文中的3-4词词块使用情况与其写作质量之间的关系。结果表明,四级作文中3-4词词块的种类相当弱,以至于在四级作文评分中并未显著影响到作文的得分,即写作中词块使用情况与写作质量之间并没有显著相关性,说明词块使用仍是大学英语写作的薄弱环节,如何提高英语写作中词块的使用质量应该成为大学英语写作教学的重点。
By taking use of corpus software Antconc, an investigation of 134 CET4 writings from COLEC has been conducted to study the correlation between using of chunks of 3-4 words in these writings and their writing quality. It has been found that chunks of 3-4 words are too monotonous to make any difference in the scoring of the writings, indicating no significant corre-lation between using of chunks and writing quality. The result reflects that using chunks has been the weak part of college Eng-lish writing and it should be the teaching focus of future college English writing.
