English Test for International Communication and Its Implication to the Reform of College English Teaching

本文从大学英语教学的现状入手,分析了当前大学英语教学所面临的困境和挑战。探讨了国才考试的构念界定、任务设计和评分方法,以及其对大学英语教学改革的指导意义,最后从课程设置和实践教学等方面提出建设性意见。

This paper describes the status-quo of college English teaching today and analyzes the dilemma and challenge it is facing.The design theory and test method of English Test for International Communication(ETIC)will be discussed in detail,as well as its implication to the reform of college English teaching.Some constructive suggestions are proposed concerning the curriculum design and practical teaching of college English.
