Distinctive features and complex syntactic structures make the greatest barriers in the translation of Maritime English. Based on an in-depth analysis of the syntactic features of Maritime English,this paper explores five feasible translation strategies aiming at improving the quality of Maritime English translation,based on the understanding that the modes of thinking in Chinese and English are transformable.
