Ernest Mandel was the key leader and thinker of the contemporary Fourth International,whose revolution theory was the core of his whole thought. The research on his revolution theory will help us study his whole thought and the contemporary practice of the Fourth International,and rethink the socialist movement of the 20 th century. The criticism of'one-country-socialism'and'European Communism'are two basic aspects of his revolution theory,which have both reasonable kernels and limits.
