Cognitive Metaphor Theory and TCM Text Translation:Taking "Yellow Emperor's Canon of Medicine" as the Example

认知语言学的发展使人们认识到人类思维就是建立在隐喻基础之上的,而中医的"取象比类"思想使得其语言广泛存在着隐喻等比喻辞格。本文以隐喻理论为指导,取《黄帝内经》的篇章为语料,指出理解中医典籍文化和语境的重要性,从而为确定翻译策略做好准备。

Development of cognitive linguistics makes people realize that the way of human thinking is based on the metaphors.The'analogy'thought of Traditional Chinese Medicine makes a lot of metaphors exist in the languages.Guided by metaphor theory and taking the text of'Yellow Emperor’s Canon of Medicine'as data,this article points out the importance of understanding the culture and context of TCM classics,preparing to decide the translation strategy.
