Sentence Differences between Chinese and English to a certain degree correspond with the differences between Chinese culture and western culture. This present paper attempts to clarify the essential differences in Chinese and English sentence structure, which is affected by cultural essence of Chinese and western countries. According to the author, English sentence is more precise and logical, while Chinese is vaguer and more subjective. That is the result of open, analytical western culture and subjective, comprehensive Chinese culture. It is necessary to introduce cultural knowledge in English teaching, which would help the students to improve their language and communicative competence.
