摘要
From October 23rd to 25th,2015,the 4th Asia-Pacific Forum on Translation and Intercultural Studies was held at Durham University in the UK.This event was coorganised by the Centre for Intercultural Mediation at Durham University and the Centre for Translation and Interdisciplinary Studies at Tsinghua University,sponsored by the School of Interpreting and Translation Studies at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies and the School of Modern Languages and Cultures at Durham University.With the theme“Current Trends in Translation and Intercultural Studies”,the forum consisted of 49 papers given by speakers from 42 universities in more than 10 different countries.While honouring the long-established research cultures in Translation Studies,speakers at this event have addressed some of the most pertinent topics in the discipline’s current and future development.In the following,three main trends of translation research observed at the forum will be reported with reference to specific speakers’presentations.
