摘要
论文结合林戊荪《孙子兵法》英译本,从'呈现传统文化负载词''彰显古代兵学语言特色''顺从中国文化思维'等方面论述典籍英译与中国英语之间关系,认为中国英语既是典籍英译的结果,又是英汉两种语言文化'杂合'的产物,它融合了两者的优势与营养,'杂合'的英译文最逼近中国典籍要义。
Taking Lin Wusun’s English version of Suntzu: The Art of War as a case study, this paper attempts to discuss the relationship between English translation of early Chinese classic and China English regarding traditional culture-loaded words, linguistic features of ancient military canon and adherence to Chinese way of thinking. The author claims that China English is a natural product in translating early Chinese classic into English. As a hybrid of both English and Chinese languages and their cultures, China English comes closest to the essence of ancient Chinese classic thanks to its advantageous hybridization.
