20世纪中国翻译史学史的历史梳理（英文）

A Historical Survey of the Writings of Chinese Translation History in the 20th Century

本文对邹振环2017年出版的《20世纪中国翻译史学史》进行了评述。该书明确提出建构翻译史学史的学科框架,在理论、方法和材料方面,对中国翻译史研究都有不小的贡献。该书不足在于:为翻译史学史框架留有很大补充空间;作者更多站在史学学科立场,未能与翻译学学科形成对话;在梳理民族语翻译史研究中遗漏了一些重要史料。尽管存在这些不足,本文仍然认为它对20世纪中国翻译史的成果做了一次全方位和较完整的学术史梳理,具有多方面的意义。

This article is a book review of The History of Chinese Translation Historiography in the 20 th Century(2017),a monograph written by Zou Zhenhuan,who argues within it about a tentative construction of a sub-discipline that is called history of translation historiography.Given the methods applied,historical data delved out and theoretical notions it proposes,the book makes its contribution to translation history studies.However,much are left to be done:firstly,Zou’s disciplinary construction remains to be filled with more components;secondly,Zou’s identity as a historian and his inadvertent holding to it rule out the possibility of dialogues across disciplinary borders;besides,some pieces of significant data are not mentioned in narrating the history of translation between Chinese,Tibetan and Uygur languages.The book,in spite of those deficiencies,still has multiple meanings to offer because of its first attempt to provide readers a complete and whole map of the fruits of Chinese translation historiography in the 20th century.
