Separation of strontium and barium is very important in the production of high pure strontium and barium chemicals,and in the industrial application of barium ores with high content of strontium or strontium ores with high content of barium.The recent development of research and industrial application in the separation of the two elements by precipitation,ion exchange,and solvent extraction methods has been reviewed.
