韧性剪切带一般认为是在地壳深部普遍存在的具强烈塑性流变和剪切应变的高应变带,有人称之为韧性断层。韧性剪切带的演变贯穿于地质作用的全过程,并且自始至终地显示在地壳变形各阶段,对于深入揭示地壳变形规律及机制,对地壳变形的认识提供了重要信息,这是研究韧性剪切带的主要理论意义。近些年来。

The ductile shear belt is a kind of strain belt with intense plastic flow existing widely in the deep part of the crust.In recent years,the geologists are gradually getting better understanding of the significant controlling of ductile shear belt on matallogeny of nonferrous metals,especially on metal- logeny of precious metals. Through the research of tectonic settings of typical gold deposits at home and abroad,the authors made a preliminary study on the relationships be- tween the gold deposits and ductile shear belts. According to the theory on the significant controlling of the ductile shear belt on the gold deposits,the authors hold that we should make more study on character of the great faults and the ductile shear belt in Jilin province, i.e.study on the relationships between the ductile shear belt and gold depo- sit,having a'practical significance in searching for gold ore and in prognosis of gold deposits.Through the study on character of the Yalujiang fracture, the authors propose that the southwestern section of this zone is a prospect in searching for gold deposits.
