The standard wars are the types of competitions frequently happened in the high technolo-gy industries. Firstly,it illustrates the phenomenon of standard wars in the high technology indus-tries. Secondly,it analyzes the cause of standard wars and has argued that industry standardization is not a simple technical process ,but rather a policy nature process. Thirdly,it demonstrates two levels of standavd war :enterprises level and states/regions-lovel. At last ,it points out the motives of standard wars from the two levels.
