礼生于有而废于无——论《史记·货殖列传》之伦理学价值

Wealth and Morality--On the Ethics Value of "The Biography of Huo Zhi"in "The Records of the Historian

司马迁的《货殖列传》历来受到《史记》研究者的重视,却鲜有从伦理学角度观照者。今天来看,《货殖列传》有五个方面的伦理学价值:倡"善因",反争利──王者之德;导君以强,谋国以富──辅臣之德;商而通之,货畅其流──商之业德;择人而任时──白圭之术与道德;礼生于有而废于无──"富"与道德。

The Biography of Huozhi' has been studied by experts on 'Records of Historian',but seldom from the angle of ethics.This paper comments on it's ethics value in five respects:encouraging'kindness' and discouraging striving for power and gain--morality of the king;assisting the monarch to make the country prosperous--morality of the subjects;keeping the circulation of money and commodities--morality of businessmen;appointing people on their merits--BAI Gui's skill and morality;Courtesy depends on wealth--'richness and morality'.
