The paper introduced the project of Agriculture Ontology Service (AOS) of FAO, included the purpose, background, present situation and prospect of AOS. The paper also introduced the past three workshops of AOS, and forecasted the new workshops. The author suggested that agricultural information researchers in China should take part in the research of ontology.
