In 2009,Martin Hagglund,a professor of comparative literature at Yale University, published a book named Radical Atheism:Derrida and the Time of Life, which caused a huge debate in the academic world.Throughout the current results of Derrida’s research, most scholars believe that Derrida’s later thoughts have experienced an'ethical turn'.Hgglund opposed this mainstream statement, and he took a different approach and reinterpreted Derrida’s thoughts from a temporal perspective, which provided us with a new vision. He pointed out that there never was a rupture in Derrida’s thoughts, and the concept of'radical atheism'run through from beginning to end.The so-called'radical atheism'is a critique of the normative ethical ideals and an openness to'the coming of the future'.In addition,it is also a rejection of the concepts of'permanence'and'absolute immunity'and an affirmation of the limitation of life and the'autoimmunity'.
