摘要
新中国成立以后,中国和印度之间就展开了文学作品互译工作,一些中国文学作品被翻译成多种印度文字,通过当代印度英语小说中的中国形象,可以窥见中印两国文学交流的成果。本文以阿米塔夫·高希的'朱鹭号'三部曲和肖文·乔杜里的《孟加拉特色谋杀案》为解读对象,分析其中的中国人物形象、中国文化元素等内容,以了解两国文化文学交流的具体表现和特点。文章同时也指出,中印两国文学交流是印度英语小说里越来越多中国形象出现的原因之一。
China and India have carried on literature translations after 1949,some Chinese literary works have been translated into different Indian languages.And the literary exchanges’benefits can be seen due to Chinese images in some contemporary Indian novels in English.By analyzing the Chinese images in Amitav Ghish’s Ibis Trilogy,Shovon Chowdhury’s Murder with Bengali Characteristics,this article discusses some literary methods which are borrowed from Chinese traditional literatures.And it also analyzes Chinese cultural elements which are expressed in these novels.With help of those explanations,this article shows concrete forms and features of literary exchanges between two countries.The article also points that the literary exchanges is one of the reasons to let more and more Chinese images be created in Indian English novels.
