使用层次型结构模板和神经网络方法进行汽车牌照识别

THE RECOGNITION OF CAR LICENSE IDENTIFICATION BY HIERARCHICAL PATTERN TEMPLATE AND ARTIFICIAL NEURO-NETWORK

汽车牌照自动识别是一个具有重大实际意义的课题,广泛应用干道路交通流量监测、交通违章自动记录、高速公路自动收费系统、车库自动收费管理等方面。本文以宁波北仑港保税区的车辆管理系统作为研究背景,在研究过去的车辆汽车牌照自动识别算法的基础上,开发了基于层次型结构模板和神经网络方法的图像汽车牌照识别方法,有效地提高了识别率。

The recognition of Car License Identification is an important system which has many practical usage within traffic flow monitoring, traffic preccancy recording, highway automatic charging system, and carport automatic charging system,This research is based on the practical application-the Car Management System at Bei Lun Gang Protective Trading Area in Ninbo. With the research result of former car license identification recognition, we developed the car license identification recognition algorithm using hierarchical pattern template and artificial neuro- network. With the new algorithm, we increase the veracity of car license identification recognition.
