元素周期律是俄罗斯化学家门捷列夫的一项伟大发现。俄罗斯科学史家凯德洛夫的巨著《伟大发现的一天》(ДеньОдногоВеликогоОткрытия),用翔实的手稿和相关档案资料,令人信服地论证了门捷列夫是在1869年3月1日一天之内做出元素周期表这一伟大发现的。该书在30多年前由大连理工大学(原大连工学院)林永康、刘则渊、王续琨等11位教师集体翻译。2017年联合国大会宣布2019年为化学元素周期表国际年,在元素周期律发现150周年之际,该书手译稿历经艰难曲折,终于将由大连理工大学出版社正式出版。《伟大发现的一天》是一部科学史和科学方法论相结合的杰作,至今依然有诱人的学术魅力。译者的这篇撮要试图追踪原作者的思路,概述发现之日的史实,还原伟大发现的方法,澄清曲解发现的传说,以期为读者重走这一天神奇的发现之旅提供一幅简明的导游图。
Periodic law of elements is a great discovery by D.I.Mendeleev who is a great chemist in Russia.Day of One Great Discovery written by Bonifaty M.Kedrov who is a historian of science,demonstrates that Mendeleev discovered periodic table on March 1rd in 1869.He made this convincing argument with detailed manuscripts and relevant archival materials.This book was translated by Yongkang Lin,Zeyuan Liu,Xukun Wang,etc.,11 scholars from Dalian University of Technology(former name:Dalian Institute of Technology)more than 30 years ago.In 2017,United Nations General Assembly declared 2019 as the International Year of Periodic Table of Elements.The handwriting translation manuscript was published finally in Dalian University of Technology Press in the 150th anniversary of Periodic Table of Elements after long and hard period.Day of One Great Discovery is a masterpiece combing history of science and Methodology of Science,and it has been still fascinated in academics so far.This synopsis attempts to trace ideas of the author,to sketch out the historical facts of the day of Periodic Table’s discovery,to reveal the methods of how it was discovered,to clarify the stories which distort the discovery,so as to provide a simple navigation for readers to re-experience the miracle journey on that day.
