机会窗口、动态能力与后发企业的技术追赶

Window of Opportunity, Dynamic Capability and Latecomer Firms’ Technological Catch-up

技术范式转变开启的机会窗口为后发企业提供了重要的追赶契机,但后发企业如何通过动态能力实现技术追赶的过程仍不明确。对海康威视2001—2017年的纵向案例研究发现:后发企业在动态能力的支撑下,感知技术范式转变带来的机会窗口,并通过捕捉和重构能力整合企业内外部资源,实现了从初始追赶向行业前沿的跨越;动态能力支撑了企业在技术范式转变时期内外部知识和资源的协调与整合,企业也需要根据机会窗口的性质促使动态能力由低阶到中阶再到高阶演化。

The window of opportunity opened by technological paradigm shifting provides an important catch-up chance for latecomer firms,but there is a lack of clear understanding of how to achieve technological catch-up by using dynamic capabilities.Based on the longitudinal study of Hikvision from 2001 to 2017,this paper finds that the latecomer firms,under the support of dynamic capabilities,can perceive the window of opportunity brought by technological paradigm shift,integrate the internal and external knowledge and resources by seizing and transforming capabilities,and then realize the transition from initial catch-up to the forefront of the industry;dynamic capabilities support the coordination and integration of internal and external resources during the shift period of technological paradigm;latecomer firms need to promote dynamic capabilities evolve from low-order to media-order and then to high-order according to the nature of the window of opportunity.
