摘要
供应商是企业获取互补性知识与技巧的关键外部源,目前关于供应商知识整合的研究主要集中于供应商知识对创新的影响,却忽视了知识获取方式的选择以及企业的双元性要求。本文利用184家港资制造企业的调查数据,考虑到其资源约束,选取供应商搜索为知识获取方法,构建了"供应商搜索-双元创新-企业绩效"的理论框架,并实证检验了供应商搜索对企业绩效的作用机理。实证检验结果表明:(1)供应商搜索与企业绩效之间的关系,仅在深度层面显著;(2)开发式创新和探索式创新对上述关系具有部分中介作用。
The supplier is a critical external source offering complementary knowledge and skills. However,supplier integration-related studies mainly focused on the effect of suppliers' knowledge on innovation,while ignored the selection of knowledge acquisition methods and the demanding of ambidexterity. Using an original data set of 184 Hong Kong-owned manufacturing firms,this study selects the supply-side search as a knowledge acquisition method considering their resource constraints. Specifically,this study constructs the theoretical framework,i. e.,'supply-side search,ambidextrous innovation and firm performance',and then tests the effect of supply-side search on firm performance. The empirical tests show that( 1) the positive relationship between the supply-side search and financial performance only exists in the depth level;( 2) both exploitative innovation and explorative innovation have partly mediator effects on the above relationship.
