摘要
应用信息论方法考察了大肠杆菌和人两种生物的同义密码子用语和蛋白质二级结构的关联情况。研究结果表明:大肠杆菌和人的基因组中都存在着一些同义密码子明显携带有蛋白质二级结构信息,尽管这些信息量都很小;同义密码子与蛋白质二级结构的关联是种属特异的。
Using method of information theory, the correlation between synonymous codon usage and
protein secondary structures for two species——Escherichia coli and Homo sapiens was investigated. The
results show that: (1) for both E. coli and Homo sapiens, there are some synonymous codons evidently carry protein secondary structural information, though the information contents are very little; (2) the correlation between synonymous codon usage and protein secondary structures is species specific.
