The relationship between dietary copper levels and growthpromoting regulating mechanisms of hypothalamus was addressed. According to the literature, the stimulating effect of high levels of dietary copper on growth is involved in the synthesis and release of hormones secreted from the somatotrophic hormone axis, probably adjusting the synthesis and release of somatostatin in hypothalamus.
