On the frontline of Chinese language teaching management, Confucius Institute directors assume the mission of spreading Chinese language and culture, promoting cultural exchanges and understanding, and building friendships. Dreams and yearnings go hand in hand with the hardships of blazing new trails, for this is where high hopes begin; difficulties and misunderstandings go hand in hand with trust and support, for this is how the essence of faith is instilled. In order to present a panoramic view of pacesetting individuals at Confucius Institutes and share with the world their unique work experiences and understanding of life, the Confucius Institute presents the 'Confucius Institute Pacesetters---Leadership Excellence 2009' from May through September.
