The once-every-four-year FIFA World Cup has drawn the attention of the world to Brazil, but what's 'hot' here is not only football. Ten Confucius Institutes have been established in Brazil one after another within six years of the establishment of the first Confucius Institute in 2008. And the numbers of Chinese learners have been rapidly increasing. Coincidentally, these two 'hot' events are related to one person. As Chief Consultant of the Ministry of Sports(Brazil), Mr. Luís Antonio Paulino is also the Director of the first Confucius Institute in Brazil, the Confucius Institute at San Paolo State University.
