Learn Chinese,double your world

'Learn Chinese,double your world'是我现在学习汉语的浙江师范大学国际学院的院训,虽然只有简单几个字,却有很深刻的含义。2007年,雅温得第二大学孔子学院在喀麦隆落户时,我还是一名初中生,当时我并不知道我们国家有个地方竟然可以学习汉语。后来,在我哥哥的鼓励下,我开始尝试了解并学习汉语。我身边的很多朋友一开始都不理解我,他们觉得汉语那么难学。

"Learn Chinese,double your world”is the motto of the College of International Education and Culture at Zhejiang Normal University,where I currently study Chinese.It contains only fi ve words,but carries very signifi cant meaning.In 2007,when the Confucius Institute was opened at the University of Yaounde II in Cameroon’s capital Yaounde,I was still a middle school student,and had no idea we could possibly study Chinese in our country.Later,encouraged by my brother,I tried to fi nd out more about Chinese,and to learn it.Of course,many of my friends didn’t understand my decision at fi rst,for they thought that Chinese was so diffi cult,and didn’t see what I could do with it after I learned it.But to me,Chinese is an amazing language,and has changed my life.As I learn Chinese I am growing up,and have already“doubled my world”.
