On Function Ideas of Universities in the New Century

本文以大学职能理念作为探讨对象。在回顾大学教学、科研和服务三大传统职能理念的基础上,进一步论述新世纪大学传统职能理念的丰富和发展,及其新的职能理念——国际化的产生。

The article aims at studying the function ideas of universities. It probes into the development of the traditional function ideas of universities in the new century, and the produce of the new function idea: globalization, by recalling three traditional function ideas of universities, which are teaching, scientific study and service.
