Widely tunable lasers are key components for DWDM systems and fu tu re all optical networks ( AON ) , which offer the networks greater flexibility and functionality. The structures ,characteristics and tuning methods of dif-ferent tunable lasers were discu ssed in detail . The research developments of tunable lasers were summarized .
