李鸿章与中巴《和好通商条约》的签订

Li Hong-zhang and the Singing of the Sino-Brazil Peacement and Trade Treaty

19世纪80年代初,清政府内忧外患相对较少,李鸿章与巴西的代表喀拉多经艰难谈判,终于签订中巴《和好通商条约》。此条约废止了片面最惠国待遇,进一步限制了领事裁判权,禁止向中国贩卖鸦片,在保护侨民、派驻领事等方面维护了中国的正当权益。它是李鸿章外交生涯中具有历史意义的成果。

In the beginnig of the 1880s, Qing Dynasty had less difficulties from home and abroad. Li Hong zhang negotiated difficultly with Kaladuo who was the representative of Brazil. At last, they signed Sino Brazil Peacement and Trade Treaty. The treaty abolished the unilateral most favored nation, further limited Brazil's Consular jurisdiction, and prohibited selling opium to China. Moreever, on preserving immigrants and sending ambassador to each other , it preserved the rights and interests of China. The treaty is a historic fruit is the Li Hong zhang's diplomatic life.
