摘要
语言能力是理想的语言使用者对其母语的种种规则的了解和掌握。掌握语言能力本身并不是语言学习的最终目的,语言能力须在实际话语行为中得以运用和实现,转为一种交际能力。因此,设法把语言结构、语言运用和社会生活三者有机结合起来便成为语言研究和教学的新概念。
Linguistic competence, which is the ideal language user's knowledge of the rules of his language, enables a speaker to produce and understand an indefinite number of sentences and to recognize grammatical mistakes and ambiguities. However, just a good command of this competence doesn't mean to reach the ultimate stage of language learning. Only by mixing with the social life will the competence be changed into a communicative and practical one.
