This article explains many phenomena that happened in urban from view points of 'resident place'and 'work place'. The author beliefs that the research about 'resident place' and 'work place'of urban populationin can make population research connect with many subjects such as sociology, economics, geography etc. Besides, the author introduces material sources of 'resident place' and 'work place'.
