摘要 提出了一种新的基于模糊逻辑的方向纹理对比度增强的方法,对指纹图像进行增 强。通过模糊边缘判别器在对任一像素点属于边缘的程度进行模糊软判决的同时完成边缘 检 测,根据计算出的指纹方向图,结合模糊边缘判决器的输出结果,来指导基于方向纹理 的指 纹图像的对比度增强。实验结果表明这种方法对于质量比较差的指纹图像能够明显改 善其质 量,对于图像的边缘区域,则能够在保持边缘细节的同时滤除噪声。 A fuzzy based algorithm for contrast enhancement of fingerprint ima ge and edge detection is presented. In this method a fuzzy edge detector is fir s t applied to make soft decision on degree of belonging to edge for each pixel. A ccording to these decisions and fingerprint orientation image, image contrast is enhanced without significant noise enhancement. Experimental results demons trat e that this method is effective in performing detail sharpening and removin g noi se without destroying the useful information contained in a fingerprint im age.
