The codereusing issue in building the load forecasting software on the Microsoft Windows Platform is discussed.A number of schemes and their characteristics are summarized. Two schemes, the ActiveX control and ActiveX component based on COM technology, are recommended to realize codereusing in building the load forecasting software. Their advantages are analyzed through implementing into a load forecasting model.
