Network Management of WDM Metro Optical Transmission Network

基于WDM的光网络由于承载的信息量非常巨大,网络的任何故障和失效都将造成严重的后果,因此研究这种网络的网络管理十分重要。在叙述了基于WDM技术的光网络的网络管理体系结构和特殊要求之后,着重对其网络开销的传送技术——光监控信道(OSC)技术进行了研究,并进一步探讨了光城域网环境下的OSC技术。

Because WDM-based optical network carries huge amount of information, any fault and ineffectiveness will cause serious sequence. Therefore, it is very important to research on the network management of this kind of network. After the description of network management system structure and specific requirements of WDM -technology -based optical network, the transmission technology of networkoverhead-OSC is discussed in thispaper. OSC technology under optical MAN environment is also discussed.
