This paper probes into the awareness of Chan characterizing jia's philosophy on arts and the charm of chan revealed in his prose; it maintains that jia ,refusing to take sides with the ostentation of the modern literature field, upholds and is in pursue of the traditional Oniental aesthetic standards,which are on the wane,and that his prose serves as the enlightenment on how to promote culture complying loith the national aesthtic standards.
