名词与名词词组、名词词组与名词分句之间的结构联系是分别通过扩展和紧缩这两种对立的方式实现的。在名词、名词词组和名词分句这三个单位中 ,名词词组居中 ,起到了与两边联系的桥梁作用 :它一方面是名词的扩展 ,另一方面是名词分句的紧缩。这三个单位之间又存在梯度现象 ,它们之间的过渡是逐渐的 。

The structural relationship between noun and noun phrase,and noun phrase and nominal clause is carried out respectively by the opposite means of expansion and condensation.Among the three units of noun,noun phrase and nominal clause,the noun phrase takes the central position,and plays the role of a bridge in linking the other two parts:on the one hand it is the expansion of a noun,and on the other hand it is the condensation of a noun clause.Gradience exists among the three units.The transition among them is gradual,and the cross border-line cases link them into a continuum in gradual order
