Tourist-City Destination Planning in Medan

本文以棉兰克萨旺(Kesawan)为例,旨在研究和阐述在旅游城市目的地开发中应使用的城市设计原则及其发挥的作用。同时,重点研究了在旅游城市目的地开发中城市设计与城市旅游之间的关系。首先,本文探讨了形成历史街区的自然特征及衡量历史街区价值的方法;然后,讨论了适宜开展旅游活动的活动场所;最后,评述了体现城市特性的城市意象和价值。

The paper is intended to explore and explain the role and the urban design principles that are workable in the development of a tourist-city destination in Kesawan. It is also an investigation of the link between urban design and urban tourism, particularly in the development a tourist city destination. First to be discussed are the physical aspects that contribute to the historic district, and the ways of measuring the value of the historic district. Second, the activity place is discussed as the appropriate activity for the proposed location. Third, values and urban image including urban identity are reviewed.
