Reconstruction of the New Social Ethical Standard——Translation of the cultural connotation of the “filial piety” in Confucian Analects

“孝”是儒家伦理中的重要范畴。笔者认为 :《论语》中孔子言“孝” ,其文化内涵除了一般意义上的“善事父母”外 ,还应包括一种为政之道和成己之方 ,一种超越家族关系的社会伦理规范。同时 ,从三个方面分析了“孝”的社会功效 ,认为孔子言“孝” ,致力于唤醒人们的道德自觉与社会责任感。最后 ,论述了孔子言“孝”

Filial piety” is an important catetgory in the ethics of Confucianism. The authoress thinks:in Confucian Analects, the connotation of the filial piety included a method to govern and to suceed—a social ethical standard which overstepped the family relation besides the general meaning—respecting parents. At the same time, the article analysed the social effect of the “filial piety” from three aspects. It is believed that the purpose of Confucius' “filial piety” is to awaken people's moral self-consciousness and social responsibility. In the end, the article discussed the historical influence of Confucius' “filial piety”.
