积极走“新型工业化”之路的思考

Consideration on Actively Implementing a New Road to Industrialization

江泽民同志在党的十六大报告中提出,中国要走新型工业化道路,大力实施科教兴国战略和可持续发展战略。走新型工业化道路,这一新概念的提出反映了我们党工业化理论的新发展。这是从全面建设小康社会的战略目标出发,应对加入WTO和全球竞争而提出的适时方针。要贯彻好这一方针,我们必须真正面对经济全球化的挑战、所谓中国成为“世界工厂”的挑战和国内人才紧缺的挑战。

At the 16th National Congress of the CPC,Comrade Jiang Zemin pointed out that China should'take a new road to industrialization,and energetically implement the strategy of rejuvenating the country through science and education and that of sustainable development. 'The new concept reflects the new development of our Party's theory for industrialization. This is a timing policy starting from the strategic objective of building a well-off society in an all-round way, as well as tackling accession to the WTO and worldwide competition. To carry out this policy, we must in deed face the challenge of economic globalization,the challenge of what is called 'China's becoming a world-factory',and that of the shortage of domestic professional talents.
