PREDICTIVE SCHEMES FOR FUTURE PLC: Part One Impact and Results

摘要 近几年来 ,与电信网及有线电视网相比 ,电力线通信 (PLC)网以其资源广阔、与家庭结合紧密等优势日益引起人们注视 ,并得到快速发展。文中追溯了 PLC的 80多年发展历程 ,将其划分为3个阶段 ,总结了各阶段的主要技术特征、代表产品及应用范围 ,其中重点分析和介绍了当前 PLC在欧洲和美、日等发达国家以及在我国的应用现状 ;进而通过对 PLC信道的恶劣条件和传输技术状况的描述 ,结合具体典型芯片的分析比较 ,指出了技术难度及发展迟缓的原因。文中还给出了PLC- HLAN,PLC- VPN,PLC- AN的应用和构建设想 ,指出了 PLC发展过程中应当重点研究的问题 :宽带传输、网络互联、专用固件设计、保密安全设施、面向家庭通信语言 ,以及技术体制和法制化等 ,强调了 PLC广泛应用的现实性与紧迫性。 Recently, Power Line Communication (PLC) Network expands quickly because of its abundant network resources and strong link with family life. This paper divides PLC's development into three main generations and summarizes the main technical characteristics, typical productions and application fields of each generation. As a key point, it analyzes PLC's recent application cases in America, Europe and China, and compares the different R&D emphases between America and Europe. The second part of this paper describes the PLC channel's characteristic and the main transmission modulation techniques, such as SS, OFDM. Based on these researches, this paper gives a comparison of the prevailing PLC products' capability details and concludes the reason why PLC developed slowly in the past. This paper proposes a predictive scheme for the construction and application of future PLC-NET, which consists of PLC-LAN, PLC-VPN and PLC-AN, and finally, indicates the essential aspects of the developing process of PLC-NET, including the high speed PLC modem, the special PLC devices, Common Application Language (CAL), and the PLC technical standard.
