Translation Teaching and Learning Seen from the TEM8 (2002) Translation Papers

本文从 2 0 0 2年TEM8英译汉和汉译英试卷入手 ,剖析学生英汉互译时常犯的错误 ,指出要培养学生翻译技能 ,提高他们翻译水平 ,不仅要重视翻译理论的教与学 ,而且要重视学生的翻译实践 ,加强学生基础阶段语言基本功训练 。

This article approaches the issue of errors in students' translations by analyzing some of the TEM8 translation papers of 2002.It argues that the key to improving students' translation skills and abilities lies not only in teaching and learning translation theories,but also in emphasizing their translating practice,in training their basic language skills,and in raising their awareness of the differences between the English and Chinese languages.
