摘要
本文探讨了英汉成语的文化内涵问题.经对英汉表情感成语的语料统计后发现,英语民族倾向于将情感的表达寄托于宇宙天体和世界本原,而汉民族则更多地借助人的自身来表达内心情感.本文作者认为,两种成语中不同的语义构成反映了中西民族不同的"天人关系"哲学观,并由此可以透视出语言与文化之间千丝万缕的联系.
The present research probes into the culture in English and Chinese idioms. The statistics show that in idioms of emotions, the English people link their emotion to planetary influences and the natural elements, while the Chinese people are concerned more with their own bodies in expressing emotions. The present author holds that this is a reflection of the different philosophical outlook of the two peoples.
