The actual situations, including the present status, the planned program and the executing projects on wastewater treatment and wastewater reuse in Xi'an city are presented. And the fundamental condition, experimental research, design and implement of the pilot project on urban wastewater reuse are described. It is believed that, as a kind of potential water resource wastewater might be assessed just enough. During the early period of renovated water market development both the central and local authorities have to pay enough attentions to increase the customers and to draft a proper price policy. Also the problems of wastewater treatment and wastewater reuse and resourcelization ought to be considered comprehensively according to the strategic idea of sustainable development by the departments of urban planning, construction and administration. The projects related to wastewater reuse shall be supervised according to the so called market rules, and the reused wastewater will be priced under considerations of the profit of the provider, the tolerance of the customer and the current market price level. Proper arrangement of these problems shall be conducted to favorable promotion to wastewater resourcelization.
