Research on algorithm of automatic generation of interference-free tool path of freeform surfaces with curves of cross sections

截面线法是数控加工中重要的也是应用较为广泛的一种刀具轨迹的生成方法.以球形刀加工自由曲面为例,对截面线无干涉刀轨生成方法进行了研究与探讨.该方法实现了对刀具干涉的快速分析检测与处理,提高了数控加工和生产效率.此外,该方法不仅可以在数控加工中生成无干涉刀具轨迹,而且可以确定加工中的欠切区域,以便于后续加工.

The method of curves of cross sections is one of the important and popularly applied ways in generation of tool path in NC machining.The algorithm of automatic generation of interference-free tool path with curves of cross sections based on the illustration of machining freeform surfaces with ball-end cutter is researched and discussed.The problem of interference during machining of freeform surfaces in solved and the efficiency of amending and machining is improved.Moreover,the regions withons without machining can be determined with this method. 
