The paper depicts the working principle, structure and feature of the metal-air battery. It also discusses the prospect of technological development of metal-air battery and its application. Being a new green power source with a high performance, the Metal-air Battery has the character of high specific energy, long cycle life and zero emission. It also need no charging equipment and can replenish the electric energy quickly. Therefore,metal-air battery can be used as the power source of middle and small mobile appliances, small portable electronic devices and under-water military vehicles.
