摘要
区域城镇体系是在特定的地理条件和历史背景下形成并发展的.桂林市域城镇体系由于受地形以及交通干线的影响,具有沿地形和沿交通干线分布两大特征及由此特征而产生的经济发展差别.桂林市域城镇体系的发展应建立在正确认识城镇体系地域空间结构现状的基础上,综合考虑区域地理条件、历史背景,同时兼顾经济、社会发展,及时调整城镇体系的发展层次,为桂林市域城镇体系的可持续发展建立合理的空间格局.
City and town system is usually based on the particular geography position and history. That is the foundation of the cities and towns system' s development .The paper states that Guilin city and town system has two characteristics:space distribution and geography distribution because of geography and main transportation lines. Geography and main transportation lines influence the district development .The development of Guilin city and town system must be based on the full cognition of its condition and of the district geography, the history background, the economy and social background when establishing Guilin city and town system model.
